How The
Battle Works

Real steel. Real hits. Medieval-inspired combat decided in the ring — and on the ground.

The Fight

Two fighters. A bounded arena or open field. 3 to 5 rounds of one minute each.

Armored warriors trade blows with weapons, shields, fists and limbs — and when the fight hits the floor, it keeps going. This is full-contact combat built for the arena.

DRAWS

How Points Are Scored

Fighters earn points by landing strikes on their opponent. Some shots simply count for more.

BASE

WORTH

MORE

Clean Strikes

Any landed blow with a weapon, shield, fist or limb puts points on the board.

The Heavy Hitters

Strikes to the head, two-handed weapon strikes, fight-shifting "influencing" blows, and strikes landed on a downed opponent from a dominant position all score higher.

Winning The Match

KO

A finish that ends it on the spot.

TKO

The fight is stopped — one warrior can't continue.

Disqualification

A fighter breaks the code of the arena.

Judges' Decision

Goes the distance? The judges call the winner.

Someone always wins. There are no draws.

The Code Of Honor

Honor is the name of the game. To protect the warriors, these moves are never allowed:

Stomping
Soccer kicks
Throws onto the head
Oblique kicks / knee stomps
Submission attempts
Groin strikes
Two-handed strikes on a downed foe

Built For Safety

Every fighter meets TAL safety standards. Weapons are never rusty, cracked, or loose. Armor must fit and be fit for Medieval combat. Helmets stay locked on for the entire match. Break the standard, and penalties — or disqualification — follow.
